Does this delivery app require Carrier-Calculated Shipping?
You can use the app without the Carrier Service API using the rate functions mode, which is applied by default when installing the app. If your store supports Carrier-Calculated Shipping and your business use-case demands the use of the carrier rate mode, contact our support to change the rate mode. Does Zapiet - Rates by Zip Code work in my country?
Yes. The app works worldwide — wherever Shopify operates, Zapiet - Rates by Zip Code does too. The admin panel is available in English, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Danish, Dutch, Swedish, Czech, and Simplified Chinese. The rates you configure in the app can be translated into any language enabled on your Shopify store.

Can I use this app with other Zapiet products?
Yes! Zapiet - Rates by Zip Code works seamlessly with other Zapiet apps. It also features a dedicated integration with Zapiet – Pickup + Delivery. You can enable this integration in the Settings page and choose whether Zapiet - Rates by Zip Code should calculate rates for shipping, delivery, or both.
Configuration questions
Do I still need to review the setup, and can Zapiet AI complete everything for me?
Zapiet AI can help create and edit zones, rates, and postal code rules, but it does not complete every part of setup automatically. We recommend reviewing any setup it creates before using it live to make sure it matches your delivery requirements. For example, Zapiet AI cannot enable the Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery integration for you, though it can provide instructions to help you set it up.
What kind of rates can I configure with this app?
With this app, you can configure price- and weight-based rates, which are calculated based on the zip code configured in the app.
What kind of zip code matching does the app support?
With Zapiet - Rates by Zip Code, you can configure:
- Exact matching
- Partial matching
- Advanced postal code matching

Can I change the weight units and currency?
Yes, you can change settings such as weight units and currency on the Settings page.
How do I create rates for specific postal codes?
When setting up the app, you’ll create zones made up of postal codes. Once a zone is created, you can assign price-based or weight-based rates to it. When a customer enters a postal code from that zone at Shopify checkout, the app will return the rate assigned to it. You can create multiple zones to cover different areas and offer different rates for each zone.
Can I assign the same postal code to different zones?
No, the app is designed to prevent overlapping postal codes, and each zone must contain a unique set of postal codes.
Can the app work in multiple Shopify shipping profiles?
When configuring each zone, you’ll need to assign a Shopify shipping profile and select the zone where you want the app to return rates. Different zones created in the app can be assigned to different Shopify shipping profiles or zones.
Can I export or import my settings?
Yes, the app supports exporting and importing one or multiple zones, including their associated postal codes, rate names, and rate name translations. You can find more details in our Managing zones using CSV article.
I have more than 10,000 postal codes. What would be the best way to enter them into the app?
If you have a lot of zip codes, you may wish to use partial zip code matching. The character limit for the zip code field is 50,000, and using partial matching can reduce the number of zip codes you need to add.
Does the app support postal code entry by range? For example, add postal codes 1000-1500?
The app does not support entry by range. However, we’re continuously improving the app and may include this feature in future updates.
Can I track how rates are generated at checkout?
If you’re using the app in the Carrier-Calculated Shipping mode, the app includes a Logs page where you can trace specific rate calculations and troubleshoot any rate issues. To change the rate mode, contact our support.
Can this app be used with subscription apps?
Yes, using the app in Carrier-Calculated Shipping mode supports subscription apps. However, there are some limitations due to how Shopify generates rates. You can learn more about this topic here.
